Our Advent theme this year is from A Sanctified Art and offers the idea of waiting, but not idleness. Waiting for Christ is active, engaging, and life giving.
As part of Advent, we will be hearing sections of “Letter from Birmingham Jail,” written by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in April of 1963. It was a public response to the white clergy who insisted on waiting for justice, and the letter’s core message came to be known as: “Why we can’t wait.”
