Green Team

The Bethel-Bethany Green Team, a part of the Properties Committee works to educate the congregation and surrounding community about ways we can best steward our eco-system and environment.

In recent years, we have conducted seminars and workshops on:

  • reducing plastic use
  • preserving water resources
  • the importance of regenerative agriculture in solving the climate crisis, improving human (and animal) health and strengthening rural communities.

In addition, the Green Team represents Bethel-Bethany in neighborhood cleanup activities, meetings of the Wisconsin UCC Creation Care Network, The Sherman Park Eco Green Team, and the City of Milwaukee’s “Cream City Climate Challenge – Green Congregations Initiative (C4/GCI).”
