Planting Generosity
“Keep open house; be generous with your lives.” (Matt. 5:16, The Message)
As we explore our Christian roots of abundant, outward-focused generosity, and “gift economy,” we will be invited to plant generosity in the life of our church – through our commitments of time, talent and treasure. How can our gratitude grow through our collective generosity? How can we be a people who defiantly embrace an attitude of abundance rather than scarcity, and hope rather than fear and distrust? As our individual commitments combine, Bethel-Bethany can be a visible sign of God’s abundance and hope in this neighborhood and beyond.
