Children and Youth

We try to make sure the youngest among us experience church as a place that’s just as much for them as it is for their parents or other adults. This begins with making sure children of all ages are welcome in our worship services on Sundays.

We’re very laid back, so there’s no need to worry if your child makes noise or needs to move around during a worship service, but we also have a nursery with audio that connects to the service if you’d be more comfortable there. If you prefer to stay in the sanctuary for the service, we also have a gender neutral and accessible restroom with a changing area through the doors at the front of the North Aisle.

There is an activity table in the back of the Sanctuary where children can color or do crafts, or they can take worksheets and a clipboard to the pew and work next to their families.

We have Sunday School for children ages 3-11 every other week, with messages, activities, and songs designed to be inclusive and engaging, focusing on the faith formation of children. Children begin in worship with their families and then are invited to go to downstairs with their teachers before the sermon. On First Sundays with Communion, the teachers come back upstairs so all can participate in Communion together.
